Morristown, NJ- Iron Bank $10 18__ G28a Wait UNL Proof PMG Uncirculated 62.
The bank began life as a Free Bank in 1855 in Rockaway, NJ, moved to Morristown in 1858, and became a chartered bank in 1860 before becoming the National Iron Bank of Morristown in 1865. The central vignette is a wonderfully detailed view of men working in an iron foundry and is joined by a vignette of the bank's headquarters and the state treasurer die. The note also includes a red overall tint and a red and white TEN protector. Printed on India paper with the usual small POCs in the signature lines. PMG notes minor repairs of tears from the two rightmost POCs and a tack hole in the upper left corner.
