Millville, NJ- Millville Bank $1 18__ as G2b as Wait 1176 Proof PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
The bank was incorporated in 1857 and remained in business until 1865 when it became the Millville National Bank. This denomination features a large vignette of busy workers at a glass factory flanked by vignettes of Ceres seated at left and an industrial plant at right. The note has an overall orange tint with a large orange and white ONE protector. It is printed on India paper with the usual small POCs in the signature lines. There were fourteen examples of this design in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale, with a number having imperfections (which this note does not).
