    Lima, IN- LaGrange Bank $1 18__ G2a Wolka 1345-02 Proof PMG Uncirculated 62.
    The LaGrange Bank opened as a Free Bank in 1854 and remained in business until around 1862 when it began to voluntarily wind up its affairs. The note has a vignette showing a Native American hunter stalking two deer, the Auditor of State die, and an oval female portrait. There is a large red 1 protector. The note is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock with the usual POCs in the signature lines. There were three examples of this denomination with the red protector in the ABNCo Archives holdings. PMG notes minor edge tears, including a pull in the rightmost POC.
