Hamburg, SC- Bank of Hamburg $10 18__ as G6 as Sheheen 229 Proof PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
The bank was in operation from 1822-1826 before failing. It was revived in 1836 and made it to the end of the Civil War before failing for a second and final time. The note has an unusual pair of end vignettes that have essentially split the seal in half. The note is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock with the usual small POCs in the signature lines. There was a single uncut sheet of four examples of this design in the ABNCo Archives holdings dispersed in 1990.
