    Description

Connersville, IN- Savings Bank of Indiana $1 Aug. 23, 1854 G2a Wolka 0425-01 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
This note is rather enigmatic, the bank was a free bank governed by state law, but this note failed to meet several requirements of the law. The most glaring shortcoming is that there was no space for state officials to countersign and register the note. It is, nonetheless, a wonderfully attractive note, with silver dollars appearing on both the face and back of the note. A very popular and mysterious note.
