    Brownsville, PA- Monongahela Bank of Brownsville $5 18__ G34 as Hoober 46-4 Proof PMG Uncirculated 62.
    Organized in 1810, the bank continued in business until 1865 when it became the Monongahela National Bank. This note features a finely crafted medallion-like cameo head of Washington, Ceres seated in a large V, and a vignette of Fame. The note is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock with the usual small POCs in the signature lines. This note design was known to, and illustrated by, Haxby in proof form but was not represented in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale.
