    Description

Parkersburg, WV - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 598 The First NB Ch. # 180
A bright and original Extremely Fine from the very first federally chartered institution in the state. Although the census of notes from here is not especially small, any National from West Virginia in this state of preservation is quite a challenge, as local economic conditions were never conducive to the luxury of putting notes back as a collectable. Although the face margins narrow at the corners, they are not cut in to the actual design elements and the overall appearance is among the nicest we can recall from here.
