    Description

    Richmond, VA - $5 1875 Fr. 405 NB of Virginia Ch. # 1125
Early $5 examples from Virginia are very scarce, and particularly so for the 1875 series. The National Bank Note Census has records of only eight such examples, only three of which have any indications of prior auction appearances. This is one of the three, and is, in fact, the sole representative from any Richmond bank on the list. PMG Very Fine 25, with mention of a small restoration which we cannot see inside the holder.
