    Description

Monterey, VA - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 626 The First NB Ch. # (S)9043
This piece brings the total number of notes known from this bank to five. Chartered in 1908 and liquidated in late 1929, this bank was only able to issue large size notes totaling less than $400,000 in total face value. The printed details are boldly printed and the overall appearance is closer to VF. There is some weakness in the paper that has resulted in some paper splits. Very Good-Fine.
