    Description

Scarce and High Grade 1929 $50 from Utah

Salt Lake City, UT - $50 1929 Ty. 1 The Utah State NB Ch. # 4341
The miniscule number of issuing banks in Utah meant rarities were created simply by lack of issues. The Utah State National Bank was the only issuer in the state to release 1929 $50s, and Type Ones only. There are no $100s for either type and not Type II $50s. With fewer than two dozen known in total from this bank, this high grade Serial Number 3 example is a must for the Utah type specialist. It is currently finest graded and since the other recorded Uncs are consecutive in serial number, we can expect them to grade about the same at best, and possibly even AU as the number 2 is recorded in the census. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
