    Description

Providence, RI - $2 Original Fr. 387a The Rhode Island National Bank Ch. # 983 PMG Fine 12.
The Rhode Island National Bank of Providence was a short lived bank, managing to only issue First Charter Notes and some Brown Backs before liquidating in 1901. This offering is an old friend that we first handled in our 1995 FUN auction. It is a well circulated but solid note with nice color and signatures. A small amount of ink writing on its back has been noted by PMG.
