Rare 14000 Charter Example-One of Two Known From Here

    Windber, PA - $10 1929 Ty. 2 Citizens NB Ch. # 14082
An excessively rare 14000 charter example from a bank which had a total issue of only $10,350 in all denominations combined during the depths of the Depression. Only one example from this institution is listed in the census, although this newly discovered piece now raises that total to two. We sold the one other known example from here for $1500, and that piece was a circulated specimen several grades lower than the example now offered. Bright Choice Crisp Uncirculated, with only the slightest of handling and a close bottom left margin keeping this rarity from gem.
