    Description

    Spring Mills, PA - $5 1929 Ty. 1 The First NB Ch. # 11213
This issuer was the only federally chartered thrift institution located here and issued only the $5 denomination in the 1902 Plain Backs and both types of 1929 series notes. The only note we have sold was a Type 2 note, graded Fine, that realized $546.25 years ago. This PCGS Fine 15 is a desirable note that has suffered only from an even degree of circulation. There are only five Type 1 notes with the most recent auction appearance (aside from this note) to have taken place roughly two decades ago.
