    Description

Pittsburgh, PA - $5 1902 Date Back Fr. 597 The Diamond NB Ch. # (E)2236
A gorgeous PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ note from this popular Pittsburgh bank that exhibits punch-through embossing, strong colors, and printed signatures. It is difficult to tell why PCGS chose not to assign a higher grade through the holder, but whatever the reason, it is largely insignificant. This example is also of the much scarcer 1902 Date Back design on this charter number. The best comparison in our archives is to a $10 1902 DB 65 EPQ example that brought $3450 in our April 2008 CSNS auction.
