    Pittsburgh Series 1875 $5

    Pittsburgh, PA - $5 1875 Fr. 404 The Fort Pitt NB Ch. # 2415
This is a nice mid-grade example from a rare bank which issued First Charters and Brown Backs only before the receiver closed the doors forever in December 1907. Add the historical name of the bank to the mix and this $5 becomes desirable to even more collectors. The census currently lists only eight notes with just two Series 1875 examples and that does not include this $5. The label mentions pinholes, but they are neither numerous or distracting. PMG Very Fine 20.
