Double Serial Number One Queen Lane

Philadelphia, PA - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 635 The Queen Lane NB in Germantown Ch. # 12860 PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
In just three short years, the entire issuance of this Philadelphia neighborhood bank was just over $430,000 in 1902 Plain Backs. Today about a dozen survivors are known and this is certainly one of the most prized notes in that group. This dual serial number one specimen may have been otherwise redeemed if it were not set aside by one of the bank's founders. Despite the number of known notes, we have been able to offer only two pieces from here in the past ten years. The paper is pleasing, with bold embossing, dark stamped signatures, and fantastic color.
