    Description

Pretty Mauch Chunk, PA Original $2

Mauch Chunk, PA - $2 Original Fr. 387 The Second NB Ch. # 469
A very lovely Lazy Deuce from this scarce Mauch Chunk bank which issued First Charters and Brown Backs only before liquidating in 1902. This community won some notoriety by renaming itself Jim Thorpe in 1953, after the death of that famous athlete. Displaying the initial appearance of a New note in its holder, this pretty Deuce features bright paper, wonderful color, and pen signatures that look like they were applied this morning. PCGS Very Fine 30, and sure to be a highlight of the next collection it enters.
