    Description

    Masontown, PA - $10 1929 Ty. 1 The First NB Ch. # 5441
The upper right serial number is a bit skewed on this $10. Skewed serial numbers are often an indicator of a replacement note. Replacement National sheets were individually made up with a manual hand stamping device that had adjustable serial numbers and letters. There is no definitve formula for determining replacement Nationals, therefore the final decision must be left to the bidders. Nonetheless, this is either a rare note as Kelly lists 7 Small, or an even rarer note. Fine.
