    $168 Outstanding in 1910

    Green Lane, PA - $1 Original Fr. 382 The Green Lane NB Ch. # 2131
    An excessively rare note from a Montgomery County bank which issued original Series examples only before bowing out in September of 1875 after less than two years of operation. By 1910, a miniscule $168 was still outstanding. The Kelly census shows two examples extant, only one of which has been offered at public sale during the past two decades, with that piece, grading Very Fine, realizing almost $11,000 in 2005. This piece is new to the census, and is offered here at public sale for the first time.
