Ashland, OR - $10 1882 Value Back Fr. 577 The First NB Ch. # (P)5747
A very rare type from Oregon, with Value Backs issued by a mere five banks. The current National Bank Note census shows a total of only six examples from all banks in Oregon combined, with this piece one of the six. Interestingly, only one grades higher than Very Good. This piece last sold for $2645 when we offered it back in 2004 as part of Dusty Gibson's large size Oregon holdings, and it should be worth no less today. PMG Very Good 10 Net, with a bit of fraying at the margins.
