    First Ever Public Offering From Skiatook

    Skiatook, OK - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 631 The Oklahoma NB Ch. # 10464
    A spectacular new discovery from a legendary Oklahoma community which had two banks, each of which issued only a veritable handful of large notes. One note is known from each of Skiatook's issuers, with both of those notes having been off the market in prominent Oklahoma collections for decades. In fact, both Track & Price and the Gengerke records show no offerings at public sale for either of Skiatook's banks, making this the first opportunity that Oklahoma collectors have ever had to add a note from this community to their holdings. Most fortunately for collectors, this example, which was recently discovered when it walked into a Florida coin shop, is an evenly circulated and problem free specimen with good color, sharp blue signatures, and plenty of eye appeal, all of which make a nice addition to this note's rarity and desirability. Any estimate here is simply a guess, but we would not be at all surprised if our figures below turned out to be on the very conservative side by the time the hammer falls tonight. PMG Very Fine 20.
