Pond Creek, Oklahoma Territory - $10 1902 Red Seal Fr. 613 The
First National Bank Ch. # (W)6655 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.A most attractive Territorial Red Seal from the first of three banks chartered in this small Grant County community. PMG has graded this example quite strictly (indeed, many would say overly strictly, as, for example, it was called AU in a 2001 auction) and mentioned a stain lightened (which is not readily discernable through the holder). However, all can agree that this note is a beauty, with a fiery red overprint, bright white paper, and strong pen signatures.
