    Watervliet, NY - $5 1929 Ty. 2 The NB of Watervliet Ch. # 1265
A nice high grade circulated note from this Albany County bank that is bit scarcer to locate in small size rather than large. Originally founded as the Bank of West Troy in 1852, it became a national bank in 1865 and then changed its name in 1905 after the village of West Troy became Watervliet. It then merged out of existence in 1948. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45, and one of only three Type Two $5s in the census.
