    Description

New York, NY - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 635 The Claremont National Bank Ch. # 13027 PMG Fine 12.
A high charter example that is by far the rarest of the four banks chartered in The Bronx, the northernmost of New York City's five boroughs and the only one physically attached to the North American mainland. The bank was only in business from 1927 until 1929, and currently, fewer than a dozen notes are reported. That scant total includes this evenly circulated $10 which made its last public appearance in our 2012 Central States auction.
