    Phillipsburg, NJ - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 598 The Phillipsburg NB Ch. # (E) 1239
This note bears the first title for this bank. Bright and superbly signed with great detail and plenty of embossing. A small repaired internal tear is seen in the enormous right margin and does not extend to the frame line. The census shows that this is easily the nicest quality for essentially all Third Charter Plain Backs and we have only sold three examples: the last a heavily circulated Fine that realized $235 back in 2012. This PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30 is vastly superior.
