    Ely, NV - $20 1929 Ty. 2 The Ely NB Ch. # 9310
    This institution was Ely's second bank to be chartered, and, like many banks in that position, it played second fiddle to the far larger and more prosperous First National Bank. Only one large note has been reported from this bank, with that piece long ensconced in an institutional collection, rendering it unavailable to collectors. Even offerings of Series 1929 examples have been very limited, with Track & Price reporting only three appearances since 1995, with the last a Very Fine Type 1 $10 which realized $8625 back in 2010. This is by far the highest grade example ever offered from this bank, making any estimate somewhat of a guess, but it would not surprise us at all to see bidding for this flawless PCGS graded Very Choice New 64PPQ note reach or exceed...
