Creighton, NE - $5 1882 Brown Back Fr. 471 The First NB Ch. # 4242
An incredible new discovery from this rare bank that was unknown until now. This bank was in business for only five years, and issued just 1,381 sheets of $5 Brown Backs. Just $195 was outstanding in 1910--just 39 notes! The chances of survival of another are incredibly low, and it is a true miracle that this one survived. It has fantastic pen signatures of F.E. White as cashier and Geo. E. Cheney as president, and although circulated is free of any major defects. About Fine with a couple of tiny pinholes that are mentioned solely for accuracy, a great Nebraska note that will go down as one of the great discoveries in the long history of collecting in this state.
