    Rare Whitehall, Montana

Whitehall, MT - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 632 The First NB Ch. # (W)11024
An excessively rare Montana bank with a surviving population consisting of just five notes, four of which are from a cut sheet. This short-lived bank was Whitehall's sole issuer and was only in business from 1917 until 1922. This is the only piece we have ever handled from this issuer, and it is a nice one with even, problem-free wear, good color, and attractive pen signatures. It is not from the cut sheet but is just one serial number away from the four members of that sheet. PMG Very Fine 25, a great Montana note fit for the finest of collections.
