    Rare Springfield, Missouri Original $1

Springfield, MO - $1 Original Fr. 382 The First NB Ch. # 1701
A very rare note which displays the second title used by this institution, which lasted only a relatively few years having issued First Charters along with a handful of $50 and $100 Brown Backs. The census stands at only three, two with the first title and one with this nomenclature, with this example new to that listing. All have been off the market for many years, with only a single piece, an Original ace we offered as part of our first CAA auction in 1990, having been available within the last three decades. PCGS Apparent Fine 15, with a couple of inconsequential edge splits the cause of the Apparent designation.
