    Description

Saint Louis, MO - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 601 The NB of Commerce Ch. # 4178
The NBC issued so many $5s that it had to resort to using "A" prefix letters with the bank serial number. This was unusual as very few banks across the nation ended up in that situation. This $5 was also a cherished wallet piece and thus the soiled back quarter panel, the half inch left edge split, and the 1.75 inch right edge split. President Lonsdale is paired with at least two different cashiers on Series 1902 PB notes. Good-Very Good. There will be no returns on this lot for any reason.
