Newly Discovered Pleasant Hill Lazy Deuce

Pleasant Hill, MO - $2 Original Fr. 389 The First National Bank Ch. # 1751 PMG Very Good 10.
A great new discovery from this very rare Cass County bank that operated near the Kansas state line. Pleasant Hill was the host to two National Banks - the Farmers National, which remains unreported, and the First National which issued First Charter notes only during its brief existence from 1870 to 1878. Tonight's offering is just the fourth note to surface from here. It displays just honest wear with good remaining color and legible signatures. Last year, another Deuce from this bank, which was a repaired PMG Very Good 8 Net, fetched over $4,000 at auction.
