    L'Anse Creuse, MI - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 609 The First NB Ch. # 12661
A very scarce Michigan bank that released only a literal handful of notes from here before the bank's issuing location changed to St. Clair Shores early in 1927. The census shows just four large examples reported with each title, including this piece with the first location. Quite unusually, this specimen is also a major error note as well, as the BEP mistakenly engraved a plate with the date of February 16, 1924, rather than the correct date of February 16, 1925, an error we have not seen on any other National. PCGS Fine 12.
