Unique for Bank - Gardiner, Maine Ace

Gardiner, ME - $1 Original Fr. 380 The Cobbossoe NB Ch. # 939
A great Maine rarity as this is the only note known from this Gardiner bank that issued First Charter notes only before liquidating in 1884. Taking its name from the nearby Cobbossoe Lake, this bank opened in 1865 and had just $1621 outstanding in 1910. It has a few minor tears but those flaws are more than offset by this example's overall pleasing appearance with good color and signatures. PMG Fine 12, a great Maine National.
