    $1-$1-$1-$2 Louisville Sheet

Louisville, KY - $1-$1-$1-$2 Original Fr. 382/389 The German NB Ch. # 2062 Sheet
This is one of only two Original Series uncut sheets known from the Bluegrass State. In fact, there are very few known First Charter uncut sheets for the nation as a whole. The examples that do exist today are around because of happenstance. They were not put aside with great care by devoted collectors wearing kid gloves. If the sheet was lucky it was folded up and put in an envelope, or a book, or a desk drawer. The apparent grade is due to multiple edge and internal splits and repairs and the bottom note was also severed and reattached to the sheet. Nonetheless, the sheet looks better than its description. The signatures are dark and the color is stronger than the grade and description would suggest. All in all, a great item that only one collector can enjoy. PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
