Rare & Lovely High Grade Large Size Greybull Note

Greybull, WY - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 632 The First NB Ch. # 10810
A note with every attribute a collector could ask for, combining rarity, grade and desirability in equal measure. Five large notes are known from this one bank community, with two low grade and three high. This is one of the high grade examples, having been graded Extremely Fine 45PPQ by PCGS. Of the three high grade pieces, one has never been seen at public sale, another, grading CU, was sold for $26,450 a decade ago and has never reappeared, and this is the third. It was the last large note to sell from Greybull, reaching the $16,100 mark at its last offering more than five years ago. In a far better market for important Nationals, expect an even higher realization tonight, as quality of this magnitude is seldom found at bargain prices.
