Waycross, GA - $5 1902 Plain Back Fr. 605 The First NB Ch. # (S)4963While small size Waycross notes are scarce but occasionally available, large examples from this one bank community are just plain rare, with this piece only the fourth large note reported. All save one have been closely held for many years, with the only example to have been offered at public sale since 1990 having come up more than a decade ago, when we sold the Rome collection in January of 2004. That piece, which graded Very Fine, fetched $6612.50. PMG has graded this example Very Fine 20 Net, with the Net grade assigned due to "stains." There are a few stains in evidence, most on the reverse, but none are truly distracting.
