Important North Carolina 1875 $1 Note
    Rarely Auctioned

Fayetteville, NC - $1 1875 Fr. 383 The Fayetteville National Bank Ch. # 1756 PMG Very Good 8.
A rare bank which issued First Charters only before bowing out in 1887. Just nine survivors are reported today, including this 1875 $1. It is one of only a dozen or so First Charter aces recorded for the entire state of North Carolina. Charles Burt's engraving of T.A. Liebler's Concordia graces the face. While it has seen its share of circulation, this note retains decent color for the grade as well as legible pen signatures. This type is seldom offered and the higher grade notes we auctioned in 2006 and 2019 reached significant five-figure sums. A key opportunity in this sale as Mike Apparently bought it privately and it's cataloged at auction for the first time.
    From The Mike Coltrane Collection.
