    Description

Dunn, NC - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 650 The First NB Ch. # (S)7188 PMG Very Fine 20.
With 58 large notes in the census one would expect this Harnett County issuer to be among the most available banks in the state, but one would indeed be incorrect, as 50 of these notes are uncirculated examples in one consecutively numbered pack which was uncovered thirty years ago and has remained intact since its discovery. This example is a moderately circulated note with faint stamped signatures and a bold overprint, and is the first note from this community to cross the public auction block since 2010.
