    Colorado Territory Lazy Deuce

Denver, CO - $2 Original Fr. 387 The Colorado NB Ch. # 1651
This is one of only six Lazy Deuce Territorials from this bank and one of fewer than three dozen Territorial $2s from all of the banks in the country. It is bright and crisp, and with dark inks. It also bears the bold pen signatures of family members Cashier C(harles) B. Kountze and President Luther Kountze. An extensive search over this example has uncovered an approximate half inch internal split at center. The extreme upper right corner tip and the lower right corner have been reattached. There is also a tiny patch behind the "D" in "Denver" that looks like the paper used came from another bank note. A couple of small edge splits are viewed, too. Still, a great territorial deuce. The note has an appearance that is far nicer than the description makes it sound. Very Fine-Extremely Fine with excellent color.
