    This is a truly special National Gold Bank Note. It comes from by far the scarcer of San Francisco's National Gold Bank issuers, and is an true miracle of survival in the condition that it in. Unlike virtually all examples in this series, it offers vivid colors, a bold red overprint, and sharp bright paper with the lovely golden hue that these notes reflect when truly high grade. It is likely the one of the two finest of the 26 extant examples from this institution, and is certainly by far the finest graded Fr. 1143 by a considerable margin. This real beauty displays not a trace of any "improvements" or restorations, and is certain to delight its fortunate new owner this evening.
