    High Grade Tucson Small Size

    Tucson, AZ - $20 1929 Ty. 2 The Consolidated NB Ch. # 4287
National Bank Notes in Arizona saw extensive use, making high grade examples available from very few banks. As one of the state's largest issuers, notes from the Consolidated National Bank of Tucson account for a large percentage of the surviving notes from the entire state. A small run of Uncirculated notes from this bank also provide collectors with the only truly available Uncirculated notes. This piece is from the middle of that run and features sizeable margins on top and bottom, wholly original paper, and deep, original embossing. While this run is recorded in the census, appearances are few and far between, with just a couple of other examples appearing at auction in the last four or five years. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.
