    Description

Tucson, AZ - ($)10 Mexico Pick S420r (1897-1911) The First NB
A very interesting Banco de Sonora 10 Peso Series DT remainder that has had its bank name on the face and back and "Diez Pesos" on the face covered up with green ink. "First National Bank of Tucson" is printed on the face in black ink. We believe that this is a souvenir note made for the tourist trade in the 1950's or 60's, but we have no proof. Some thought outside of Heritage is that it is a type of emergency money from the early part of the Twentieth Century. We will let the bidders go to their respective corners of thought on this matter. An item deserving of further research. Very Fine. There will be no returns on this lot for any reason.
