Prattville, AL - $20 1902 Plain Back Fr. 652 The First NB Ch. # 9055
When we sold this note two years ago in our January 2002 FUN CAA sale, it was the first ever public appearance of a note from this bank. It comes from the only issuer in Autauga County, a bank that reports just a single note, large or small, to the Kelly census. It bears the green stamped signature of female cashier "Mrs. R.M. McCord," the only time we've seen the term "Mrs." used on a large size National. Although another couple of notes from here have showed up since the last appearance, this note should still bring a hefty premium. Fine.
