    Evergreen, AL Uncut Serial Number One Red Seal Sheet

    Evergreen, AL - $10-$10-$10-$20 1902 Red Seals Fr. 613-613-613-639 First NB Ch. # (S)7687 Uncut Sheet
    An exciting serial number 1 uncut sheet that is the only large size sheet of any serial number known on the entire state of Alabama. We are pleased to write it up and to be able to offer it at auction. This sheet is truly unique for large size for the state and we see this as being the crown jewel for a top notch Alabama collection. It has been lightly handled, yet it has retained its full selvage. It grades PMG About Uncirculated 55 with dark signatures of Cashier C.E. Baker and President A(llen) R(obinson) Jones. This sheet was the property of the Jones family and they have provided two more items. The first is copies of the organizational papers of the bank from 1905 plus the bank's bylaws stapled together. The second is a folder detailing the life of A.R. Jones. The latter includes a color photocopy of a picture of the bank building, a photocopy of the bank's letterhead, and a photocopy of a picture of Mr. Jones' resting place since 1922. The total item count is three for this lot. This sheet is a true highlight for any National collection and worthy of serious consideration. And again, it is the only large size sheet documented on the state and likely to remain that way. (Total: 3 items)
