    Late Produced Money Bale

    Wired Bale of Money
Three pieces of 3" x 4" macerated were produced. Each of the three was folded, and two pieces of wire hold them together like a bale of hay. On top, there is a color lithograph of the White House. The back has a label reading "Bale of Money," "Made of old paper money, redeemed and macerated at the U.S. Treasury, Henri M. Stewart Inc., Distributor 347 Fifth Ave. New York." Stewart was apparently the final entrant into the macerated money field. He was the man who copyrighted the point of purchase advertising piece also in this sale. Bales like this were almost certainly one of the pieces sold with the 1927-dated point of purchase item.
