    Description

    McGrawville, NY Postal Note
This is easily the nicest example we have ever seen or handled of the second type Postal Note. It is dated Feb. 25, 1888 and issued at McGrawville, New York in the amount 1¢. This is another example of a note clearly obtained for preservation by a collector, as it is utterly pristine and bears not the slightest trace of wear or handling. This type was printed by the Homer Lee Bank Note Company on gray paper with a revised obligation on the reverse, and comes to us from the Arlie Slabaugh holdings.
