    Sphinx-Like Dog
A fairly large dog in a sphinx-like pose on a 7" long base, and it is just over 3" high. It's clearly an early piece, with rough surfaces and profuse bits of currency. The dog's mouth is wide open, and the inside has been painted red. There is no way to know if it was sold with this paint, or if it was owner applied at a later date. The fully legible label on the bottom of the base indicates an extremely rare producer. It is the normal "Made of..." until the bottom line, which reads "Made at 807 18th Street Washington D.C." In excellent condition, and very rare.
