Savings Bond Series E $200 April 9, 1957 Schwan 254.An elusive bond with the portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The $200 denomination was added in order to commemorate Roosevelt's life and to add a new denomination to America's bond program arsenal. This FDR wartime quote is found under his portrait: "Every single man, woman and child is a partner in the most tremendous undertaking of our American history." This example was issued at the State National Bank of Texarkana, Arkansas. This bond faced attempted redemption on December 14, 2012, and therefore it has rubber stampings and pen writing on both sides. Lucky for our customers, the next stop for this bond after that unsuccessful try was the numismatic community. PCGS Very Choice New 64.
