DescriptionPromissory Note - Port of Boston & Charlestown, MA Jun. 10, 1830.
An intriguing Promissory note as this is one of the few that we have sold that were primarily typeset instead of handwritten. Dated June 10, 1830 in the Port of Boston and Charlestown, District of Massachusetts. Numbered and countersigned by the Collector as well as the Inspector of the Revenue. PCGS Apparent Choice About New 58 due to some trace mounting remnants. Otherwise a superbly embossed and fresh example. An impressed seal is seen at far left with the motto United States and a heraldic spread eagle.
