DescriptionFood Coupon Full $65 Booklet Series 1991B.
Five $1 and six $10 coupons are in this booklet that is the highest denomination issued. All of the coupons and the booklet cover have serial number E41849612V. "B" Series coupons were printed by the United States Bank Note Co (USBNCo), while "A" Series coupons were printed by the ABNCo. Coupons without a series letter were printed by the BEP (Series 1976 and earlier). The "J" at left center is for the month of production. In this case November as the lettering scheme is "A" for January, etc.). Replacements will not have a month letter unless they incorrectly receive the month letter overprint. Replacements have a "*" suffix in the serial number starting with the 1981A Series. Previously replacements lacked a prefix letter. Paper food coupons have been demonetized by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and thus are fully collectable. Covers and the eleven coupons inside grade Uncirculated. The covers and coupons were stapled in the left selvage during this era. And remember, single coupons are always more desirable when they retain their left end "tail" (selvage).
